The highest recognition of Bangla cinema in our country is the National Award. The king hero Razzaq was first awarded this for his acting in the movie “Protinidhi”. Not only this, has got national award for 7 more times after this. While sharing his feelings of getting award for the first times he said “Any kind of inspiration increase intentness and accountability to the work and if that inspiration is the National Cine Award then definitely the concentration for acting highly increases. My responsibility towards acting increased many times after getting the national cine award for “Protinidhi” and for that I got opportunity of working into many an example for the new generation. “For an actor, it is definitely a matter of appreciation upholding the popularity in acting starting from the beginning till today because he is the only one actor who is restlessly acting in the movie from the beginning of his acting career. All of his works are worth mentioning.
This legend artist started his journey in the showbiz by acting in the movie “Behula” of Zahir Raihan. In this movie, heroine “Suchanda” was his co-artist. But before that movie, he has acted in some dramas in the small screen. Razzaq inlaid with the Bangla cinema as an assistant director. He has worked as assistant director in quite a reasonable number of cinemas with “Kamal Ahmed”. But as he knew acting from before. Zahir Raihan gave him the debut chance as a hero in the large screen. By his super acting power, he became a heartthrob hero to the viewers in a very short period of time. He became like a hot cake to the directors and producers at that time and that was the beginning of his success. Till now, Razzaq is equally popular among the countrywide people like before. Many of his contemporary actors and actresses are far away from the large screen or some of them hardly come in front of the camera, but the king of heroes of the “Dhaliwood” is still energetically acting in the large screen. The pair system in Bangla cinema was first formed by Razzaq - Kobori through their acting in the “Abirbhab” directed by “Subhash Dutta”. Commercially this was a heat movie and the viewers accepted well the Ruzzaq - Kobori pair and thus they have acted in many movies after this. Not only Kobori – Razzaq, the couple Razzaq - Shabana was equally popular to the viewers. In this regard, Razzaq says “Actually the technique of the hero-heroin coupling a good concept of getting more popularity from the viewers and to bring some changes to the likings of the viewers. I started working with 'Shabana' and the viewers also accepted me with 'Shabana'. I would rather say that this is my luck otherwise it is really difficult to understand what the viewers actually want.”

Because of the uniqueness in the story and the acting quality of Razzaq, this movie was commercially successful and that inspired him to continue as producer. Razzaq introduced his elder son “Bapparaj” among the viewers through a movie “Chapa Dangar Bou” which was also released from Razlaxmi production. In 2001, another movie “Moron Niye Khela” was released from “Razlaxmi Production”. This movie was not that much successful, so Razzaq stopped making movie under his production after this. But Razzaq mentioned “Due to obscenity in Bangla cinema. I have stopped making movie because at that time the viewers became more interested for obscene movie”.
After being away from the movie production for long eight years, this year Razzaq is producing a movie titled as “Ami Bachte Chai” under the banner of RS Entertainment. His younger son “Shomrat” has started his film career through this film. Viewers have accepted “Shomrat” and for that Razzaq is producing another movie called “Koti Takar Fokir”. In this movie the king hero Razzaq, Bapparaz and Somrat are going to act together which is for the first time. This movie is going to be released during Eid. Razzaq says about Shomrat “While acting sometimes, he becomes impatient. As a director, I would say Shomrat is an excellent artist and any director can fit him in any kind of diversified character”.
About the prospect of Bangala cinema Razzaq said that Cinema business would be able to reach up to a remarkable level if the video piracy could be stopped. Besides he also emphasized on the modernization of the FDC.
