Govt believes BNP would join dialogue, polls: Zillur

Commerce Adviser Hossain Zillur Rahman on Friday said government is trying its best to bring all political parties including BNP in the dialogue and ensure their participation in the general election.
He stated this to the reporters after attending a function organised by Uttara unit of greater Chittaging Forum held at Uattara in the city yesterday.

Replying to a query as to filing a new case against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her release, Zillur told reporters that various agencies are working at their respective fields and these organisations will continue discharging their duties independently.

When asked about whether the fresh case lodged against BNP Chairperson and her two sons will have any impact on the decision of party's participation in the dialogue and national election, Zillur said one of the major political party like BNP will not take any decision centering any particular issue as the law will take its own course. "We are very much hopeful that BNP would respond to our call and the party will join the dialogue as well as the general election," he added.
